The National School of Leadership Mountain Campus is proud of being one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. The campus is located 10 Kms away from the Hill town of Mussoorie, Uttaranchal, India, at an altitude of 4500 ft. in the picturesque foothills of the Himalayas, overlooking the cascading waterfalls of Kempty. This campus is thematically built based on Himalayan Culture and Heritage. Spread across 15 acres, this campus has a magnificent training area of over 200 acres with snow covered mountains, streams, water falls, flora and fauna that bestows a lifetime experience of unlearning and learning for the students of NSL. The NSL Mountain Campus was established by the Himalayan Adventure Institute in June 1994 with the aim of encouraging youth in developing their interests in outward bound educational activities like rock-climbing, exploration treks, forest exploration, mountain expeditions, wilderness, survival, nature and environment camps, rescue operations, map reading, navigation, jungle craft, river crossing, study of Himalayan environment and ecology, flora and fauna, studies of mountain village life, cultures etc.
The NSL campus initiates the spirit of leadership in our future leaders and help them utilize their stay at the campus gainfully and inculcate self-confidence and courage for their overall personality development. The Campus program helps students develop communication, co-operation and teamwork that can be transferred back to the work place and personal life thus engendering a sense of trust and camaraderie within a group. The Campus Program also encourages the conservation of the natural environment, and evokes a code of conduct and ethics which must be followed by all participants. It develops human potential and environmental awareness through challenges facilitated in a fun and supportive manner.
